The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate-level position focused on the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs. This role involves working closely with the Technology team to contribute to application systems analysis and programming activities.
Key Responsibilities
- System Enhancements: Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements.
- Issue Analysis: Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
- Complex Problem Solving: Apply knowledge of business and system processes, as well as industry standards, to solve complex issues.
- Evaluative Judgements: Analyze information and make evaluative judgments to recommend solutions and improvements.
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct testing and debugging, use script tools, and write basic code according to design specifications.
- Experience Application: Assess the applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under unique circumstances.
- Knowledge Development: Develop working knowledge of information systems, procedures, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- Risk Assessment: Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Demonstrate ethical judgment in personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalate control issues transparently.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Coding experience in Python and Unix scripting.
- Data Model Design: Experience designing data models for AI/ML use cases.
- AI/ML Experience: Familiarity with working on LLM models (e.g., Kore, mitral, llma).
- Algorithm Application: Knowledge of AI/ML algorithms and practical experience with relevant use cases.
- Data Pipeline Development: Experience in building data pipelines.
- CI/CD Pipeline: Experience with CI/CD pipelines for MLOps is a plus.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication skills for gathering information required for ML use cases.
Education
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
