In this capacity, Genpact is looking for a seasoned and energetic GCP Data Engineer to join our team. As a GCP Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. This role demands a solid background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and practical experience with GCP services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture: Craft and deploy scalable, efficient data structures on the Google Cloud Platform to fulfil business and project needs.
- GCP Implementation: spearheaded the creation of data solutions utilizing GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataprep, etc., to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Data Integration: Build and sustain robust data integration processes to ensure smooth data flow across various systems and platforms.
- ETL Processes: Design and execute ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data into GCP, guaranteeing data quality and accuracy.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement enhancements to boost overall system efficiency.
- Data Security and Governance: Enforce data security protocols and ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to grasp data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for data architectures, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data engineering with a specialization in Google Cloud Platform.
- Extensive hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataprep, etc.
- Strong command of programming languages like Python, SQL, or Java.
- Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior communication and collaboration skills.
